Tivit's Mobile DTV for mobile devices
In this age of sick hurry the concept of portability is redefining every moment. Now is the fashion of the devices that could easy to carry and at the same time make them aware of things happening around with click ease. To satisfy this trend the new Tivit brings accessory that could receive Mobile Digital TV signals from local US broadcasters.
This device is quite alike that of the Japanese device that enables Wi-Fi phone users to watch TV signals. This device gears up to hit the US viewers as local TV broadcasters add Mobile DTV capability to their digital transmission systems. Advanced Television Systems Committee approved the Mobile DTV transmission standard in October.
The Tivit is all set to make its debut this week in the Mobile DTV TechZone at CES 2010. The Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) which has more than 800 local broadcast TV stations has partly financed in developing the Tivit.
Furthermore, Valpus is all set to disclose the Mobile DTV module (model VMA-1000L1) which can be merge into convenient DVD player, 7-inch portable TV and also car navigation systems.
Tivit is extremely light in weight, measuring 2″ x 3.5″ in size, less than a half-inch thick, and weighing only 2.8 ounces. The battery backup of this device is up to three hours and can be charged using the USB connection and standard wall-plug charger.
The device is in tune with 3G Apple iPhone, third-generation iPod Touch, BlackBerry devices with Wi-Fi, Motorola Android phones and Windows PCs (XP service pack 3, Vista, and Windows 7 operating systems). Set up of this device is very simple and it comes with a microSD slot.
The Tivit is all set to reach the users in the coming spring for a suggested retail price under $120 (approx Rs. 5,541).
