Telefonica and NTT DoCoMo will launch Toshiba TG01 Windows Mobile handset, which will hit Japanese and Spanish markets respectively. NTT Docomo may integrate the phone in its DoCoMo PRO series T-01A.
TG01, A 9.9mm slim handset, features 4.1-inch WVGA touchscreen display, microSD slot expandable up to 32GB, 10.2 Mbps HSDPA, custom Tosh 3D GUI, GPS and backup WiFi 802.11b/g.
DoCoMo Senior VP and Product Department Managing Director Kiyohito Nagata, said, “DoCoMo has plans to work with global operators like Telefónica to together expand apps and mobile services for mutually enhanced global competitiveness. Similarly, we will be delighted if such attempts come with the additional effect of backing Japanese cell phone producers with a view to expanding handset sales overseas.”
