Today, the notebooks come with enhanced features and cutting-edge technology. In this wild goose chase, MSI, the leading hardware manufacturer, also doesn’t seem to be lagged behind; so, the company, revamping its C-Series notebooks, has come up with five more latest additions.

Christened as the CX600, CX700, CR600-013, CR600-017 and CR700, the 600 models are measured only 16-inch and weighed up to 5.4 pounds. These notebooks, with only 1.18- inches thickness, are 20% thinner than their counterparts.

On the features front, all five laptops boast Vista Home Premium pre-installed, 4GB of memory, a 320GB hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi wireless networking, Gigabit Ethernet and a 6-cell battery, plus other laptop standards such as a 1.3 mp webcam, 4-in-1 card reader, and 3 USB ports.

The 16-inch CR600-017 even comes in-built with a Blu-ray drive for a few HD movie watching. It is priced up to $649 and is built-in with a 2.1GHz Pentium Dual Core T4300 processor, while the rest four models come packed with a 2GHz Pentium Dual Core T4200.

Graphics wise, budget-savvy shoppers on the lookout for a little light gaming capabilities will be pleased about the Radeon HD4330 discrete graphics on CX models.

Meanwhile, the CR line is compatible with Nvidia GeForce 8200M G built-in graphics but also present an HDMI output, which could be of highly useful with the Blu-ray built-in model.

On the whole, the latest models don’t have much to be excited except the prices between $549 and $799.
