Rashi Peripherals has released their Netgear ProSafe FSM726E and FSM7226RS fully managed 10/100 switches. These switches aim at catering the needs of SMB or branch offices, looking for easy, steadfast, high performance switching.An entirely managed 10/100 24 port switch, the Netgear ProSafe FSM7226RS has two Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps or 1GE SFP) ports and supports 32 static routes. It also has two dedicated stacking connectors, which deliver 5 Gbps of full duplex switch-to-switch bandwidth.

A single stack can offer around 8 units and 384 ports, so offering a very scalable and lucid solution. The FSM7226RS model has 24 10/100 ports with two hot-swappable, small form-factor pluggable SFP Gigabit interfaces. But it doesn’t have any stacking ports.

The Netgear ProSafe FSM7226RS has a built-in thermal sensor that can automatically speed up the fan to augment the air flow during warm. The two ProSafe switches have a non blocking design that gives synchronized, full wire-speed, low-latency throughput to all ports.

Netgear also has IEEE 802.1x port-based authentication and access control lists which just let authorized users access the network. Additional safety can be availed via Secure Sockets Layer (SSLv3) for the Web GUI and Shell (SSH) for command-line sessions.

The two switches can also provide highly reliable, converged voice, video, and data services over a single network infrastructure. Their flexible design, high-value price point, and least maintenance needs make it perfect for organizations, which are cost-sensitive.
